The Quinta was completed in 2000 and is set in 15 acres of land with a host of indigenous plants, wild lavender and herbs attracting many species of birdlife.  There are two natural small lakes supplying water to the Farmhouse and a  gravel track winds up the hill to the property.

An attractive Farmhouse with some interesting quirky features, entrance through solid wood doors into a hall leading to the large lounge and dining area with a secluded atrium set in the heart of the villa. A modern country kitchen opens to the large terraced al fresco dining area with lovely views of the hills.  The farmhouse has three very attractive double bedrooms and three bathrooms, one of the bedrooms has a hayloft mezzanine and the master is spacious with panoramic views.

Built to be self-sufficient, the property is extremely economical to run, with a photovoltaic system supplying energy and a generator as a backup supply. Water is pumped from the lakes to the property, and gutters top up the cisterna.  The water supply can be used for domestic washing and cleaning, and there is an underground gas tank for cooking and heating water. There is underfloor heating throughout and a log burning stove in the Lounge.

A large carport is to the side of the property with some outbuildings and a lined swimming pool on the terrace below the garden.

The owners have recently added new high density lithium batteries, additional solar panels, and a new high power generator, that will allow the energy system to support the house throughout the year.  These have sufficient capacity for the addition of an air-sourced heat pump to further extend the properties ´green´potential.  The pool liner was replaced in 2020 with further plans to upgrade the attractive decking to the sun terrace.
